Adam Lallana admits that Liverpool were not clinically enough in their defeat in the Champions League against Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.

Jurgen Klopp's team had a slow start and was punished after Red Star's Milan Pavkov scored two goals in seven minutes to give Liverpool its second defeat in competition this season.

Lallana says that they are responsible for their actions and hope for a positive response after the last setback.

"We had opportunities and we went out at the start of the second half, which was better, but we were not ruthless enough or patient enough," Lallana said on the club's official website.
