Jacob deGrom wants the New York Mets to consider trading it if they are not interested in signing a contract with the thrower.
The DeGrom agent, Brodie van Wagenen, said in a statement to The Athletic: The All-Star is interested in "exploring a long-term partnership that would keep him in a Mets uniform for years to come."
"If the Mets do not share the same interest, we believe their best course of action is to seriously consider business opportunities now," Van Wagenen said in a statement released on Monday.
