Amazon Canada, Toronto-Dominion Bank and Mastercard are joining forces to launch a new Amazon.ca reward card offering 2.5% Bonus members back to Amazon Canada and beyond.
MBNA, a division of TD, issues the Rewards Card on Mastercard's worldwide payment network. As of June 18, eligible Amazon Prime members can earn 2.5% on Amazon.ca and Whole Foods Market in Canada when they use the card. In addition, Premium members receive one percent of all other eligible purchases. Premium members who use their card in the United States or internationally earn 2.5% on purchases in a foreign currency.
Unprivileged members will earn 1.5% on purchases at Amazon.ca and Whole Foods in Canada, and 1% on all other purchases.
In addition, an introductory offer allows all cardholders to earn 5% of their revenue from Amazon.ca, grocery stores and restaurants for six months after opening the account or the first 3,000 eligible purchases.
In addition, there is no annual fee, point cap, or expiry date for the points. In addition, the statement detailing the benefits of the card indicates that for every 2,000 points earned, cardholders automatically redeem them for a $ 20 Amazon.ca gift card. However, the publication does not detail how users accumulate points.
The card also offers a 90-day insurance-purchase cover, an extended warranty and a trip interruption cover.
The card also uses Mastercard contactless payments so that cardholders can call on participating merchants.
Customers who apply online and are approved can use their Amazon.ca Mastercard immediately on Amazon. The card also offers electronic invoicing.
