Boston Red Sox Championship Mookie Betts and the brewer Milwaukee Brewers Christian Yelich have won the MVP trophies of the American League and the National League.
Betts is the first Red Sox player to win the title since Bill Mueller in 2003.
He led all baseball batting averages (.346), slugging percentage (.640) and scoring (129). He also hit 32 homers and stole 30 goals, making him the only 30-30 champion batting league history.
Yelich narrowly missed the win by winning the NL Triple Crown, while he had just finished just two homers at the back of the Nolan Arenado and a shy RBI of Javier Baez.
He led the NL with batting average (.326), slugging percentage (.598) and OPS (1,000). He also finished third on the circuit (36) and stole 22 goals.
Earlier this month, Betts also won the AL Gold Glove Trophy for the third year in a row and Yelich, the NL Silver Slugger.
