A black and burning sedan was found by the Richmond RCMP yesterday afternoon near Cambie and 5th Street Wednesday afternoon as part of a shooting in Surrey.

Surrey RCMP received reports that shots were fired on Wednesday and found a man identified as 41-year-old Ranjeev Sangha, who was declared dead at the scene.

Officials immediately fled into a four-door black sedan. A car of this nature was found burning about an hour later in Richmond, 100 meters from Cambie Road, on a footpath.

RCMP members are now asking the public to advance their film footage along Highway 99 or 91 between 11:46 am and 12:49 pm. November 26th.

"Finding Ranjeev Sangha's movements before his death will be one of our detectives' priorities and we urge anyone who can help us to reach this goal to contact us immediately," said Capt. Frank Jang of the integrated homicide investigation team in a press release.

The investigators believe that Sangha's murder was a targeted incident and are working to determine a motive.
