HAMILTON – In the third quarter of the game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at the 20th week of the REDBLACKS in Ottawa, Brad Sinopoli defeated a Canadian compatriot at his 113th reception of the season, allowing him to break the CFL record by a Canadian in one season.
Previously, Ben Cahoon held the record record with 112 catches, which he had established as a member of the Montreal Alouettes in the 2003 season.
By the time he won the record, Sinopoli had accumulated 113 receptions and 1,364 yards for the REDBLACKS this season, having been Ottawa's top receiver so far this season.
