Brampton's outdoor rinks will open soon

Brampton has officially had its first snowfall and winter is approaching, which means that Brampton's outdoor skating rinks and ice rinks will officially open.

The city currently has three outdoor trails: Gage Park, Chinguacousy Park and Mount Pleasant Village. And for the first time, the Gore Meadows Indoor Outdoor Rink should also be open.

The new skating rink at Chinguacousy Park was inaugurated just two years ago and has become a popular destination. The Gage Park Trail and Mount Pleasant Outdoor Rink are as popular as ever. This year, the new epic outdoor rink will join the three as the fourth outdoor skating venue in Brampton.

The new indoor outdoor rink is part of the second phase of the expansion of the Gore Meadows Recreation Center. The 8,600 square foot ice rink will come with a funky dome and will be the first of its kind in Brampton.

All Brampton rinks are expected to open by the second week of December. As long as Brampton's weather will remain consistently below zero degrees Celsius during the first week of December, the City's Parks and Recreation Department will be creating skating surfaces for the city's outdoor rinks.
