One of the oldest buildings in Kelowna was destroyed by a fire on Monday night.
The 147-year-old Fleming Farm in Mill Creek Park at the foot of Dilworth Mountain was inflamed. The Central Okanagan Heritage Society's president, Don Knox, said the fire was "shocking," explaining that "it's really not what compares to the situation with regards to fires.

Kelowna RCMP unveiled the name of the man murdered on the Avenue Queensway at the end of Canada Day.
victim is Esa Carriere, 23 years old.
He recently moved to Kelowna, Mississauga, Ontario.
Cpl. Jesse O & # 39; Donaghey said the RCMP released the name in order to continue his investigation.
Police also confirmed that Carriere had been stabbed.

Regardless of the "solar tax" the Okanagan pays a tax on snow.
As the calendar turns in the month of July, we are supposed to enjoy sunny days on the beach or in the backcountry.
We are more concerned with snow.
A cloud of snow fell overnight at Big White and at higher altitudes along the Okanagan Conn.
The snow on the Connector near the Elkhart Lodge stuck to the side of the road but not on the highway.

Locals and visitors dressed in red and white participate today in many events in Kelowna to celebrate Canada.
