Canadian rapper Smoke Dawg dies in Toronto, Drake pays tribute to emotions

Drake took his Instagram Story to pay a moving tribute to rapper Smoke Dawg after the Canadian was shot dead in Toronto on Saturday night.

Drake shared a snap of the pair, next to the caption: "All these gifts and blessed souls and inner lights extinguishing recently are devastating."

"I wish peace sweeps our city, so much talent and so many stories that we will never see … Let's rest Smoke."

Smoke Dawg, who was a member of the Halal Band, argued Drake on his tour "Boy Meets World" in 2017.
