Vancouver Canucks Announce New Sponsorship Agreement as a Carpool Company Lyft is now the official carpool partner of the team.
The new deal will be obvious for fans, as Lyft's logo was painted on the ice, between the boards and the goal line at the end of the Canucks rink.

"Sincing to connect our communities, the Vancouver Canucks and Lyft share similar values and can now work together to make an active difference through a better fan experience and local partnerships," said the new director. Canucks operations, Trent Carroll. "We are excited to welcome Lyft to the Rogers Arena."
This new partnership will certainly raise eyebrows, as Vancouver is the only city in the NHL not to use ridesharing services, at least until the fall of 2019.
"In each of our markets, we are looking for local partners who have a positive impact on their communities," said Aaron Zifkin, General Manager of Canada at Lyft. "Our partnership with the Canucks and Rogers Arena will allow us to work more closely with the Canucks Children's Fund and, ultimately, improve the fans' experience and create a more connected Vancouver."
The Canucks and Lyft seem to be a successful marriage in paradise, given how much the outspoken owner Francesco Aquilini talked about sharing carpools on social media in recent months. The Canucks owner has mentioned Lyft and Uber on Twitter six times since April.

There are 31 cities in the NHL, Vancouver is the only one not to have been hailed.
In fact, Vancouver is the only major metropolitan area without North America.
