Half Lovato was rushed to hospital for an alleged drug overdose yesterday (July 24), and a number of friends and famous admirers have since shared their support for the 25-year-old singer through social media.
The tributes urged the public to treat Lovato with respect and compbadion during this difficult time, and congratulated the star for being so candid in her fight against addiction in the past.
As previously stated, Lovato was found unconscious in her home in Hollywood Hills just before noon yesterday. She was treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment used to counteract opioid overdoses.
The singer recently revealed that she had a relapse on her latest single "Sober".
This morning, the representative of Lovato issued a statement on the state of the singer.
"Half is awake and with her family who wants to thank everyone for the love, the prayers and the support", reads [via the Associated Press]. "Some of the information reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation because their health and recovery are the most important things at the moment."
