A child was rushed to hospital in critical condition after falling into a pool in a Chilliwack home on Thursday afternoon.
The RCMP confirmed that officers responded to drowning in the 4200 block of Osborne Road shortly before 4:30 pm

A spokesman could not confirm the age of the child nor how the child was found in the private pool.
He added that the RCMP was investigating the incident.
BEFORE CHRIST. Emergency Health Services (ECBHS) confirmed that a patient was airlifted to the hospital at 6 pm but could not disclose any information about the casualty or the cause of the serious injury.

Several other paramedical units responded to the scene, said a BCEHS spokesman.
The RCMP said more information on the incident would likely be released on Friday.
