Roman Reigns had to leave WWE to focus on himself and his health after leukemia came out of remission, an announcement both shocking and sad to hear. But since he's gone, the WWE must now fill the void of not having a brand face.
Braun Strowman talked a lot about Raw when he stormed the ring to start the night. He asked Stephanie McMahon to accept his requests, including a match for the universal title, but he first wants Baron Corbin to choose the stipulation. This caused many fans to wonder when he would get this title.
Dave Meltzer spoke about it on Wrestling Observer radio where he had a pretty interesting insight into it. After all, for Braun to compete for the universal title, Brock Lesnar must be first.
"I have the impression to see that Braun Strowman is going to be a good guy, but they do not go to the end because he had the impression of winning a championship match before WrestleMania Because of the way this deal was made, I guess he could easily win the championship, but I guess he could win the championship and become the guy, but he did not feel the guy for me in the long run, I just felt too one-dimensional. "
"They do not really have a lot of choice. Strowman, Rollins and McIntyre are your 3 choices. Rollins is already pretty full but I still think that they want a bigger guy at this place. McIntyre gets closer to you, you know that Strowman could be, but he has so many limitations.
"I've really felt a more direct focus on McIntyre, so we'll have to see how it goes."
It seems that Strowman vs. Baron Corbin could very well be the pay-per-view game we've heard about. It is also very likely that a flash match comes to see how the whole pay-per-view theme is based on tables, scales and chairs. Only time will tell when the game against Lesnar will take place if Raw wins the Survivor Series game. But, the Royal Rumble is still a likely place.
