Fiery bus wreckage, separate motorcycle accident kill two: OPP

The OPP in two areas of Southwestern Ontario investigates after two men were killed in separate collisions this weekend.

A man was killed in West Perth, near Stratford.

Police responded to an accident at the intersection of Perth Line 20 and Perth Road 164 just after 1 pm A motorcycle and an SUV collided, police said. A third indirectly involved vehicle was damaged.

The motorcycle driver was declared dead at the scene. Two days earlier, 81-year-old Hugh Elliott of Norfolk County was killed northwest of Simcoe following a violent accident involving a bus at approximately 5:10 pm

. The Ontario Provincial Police stated that a vehicle was heading west on Windham Road 12 when it collided with a bus that was heading south on Nixon Road. Both vehicles caught fire. The man was removed from the vehicle and declared dead on the scene.

The bus driver and the 28 pbadengers on board escaped through an emergency door. No one in the bus was hurt. Police say the investigation is underway.
