Ant-Man and Wasp is light and fun and moves at the speed of sound. It does not have the latest movie heavy themes from Marvel Studios. The bad guys are not out to end the universe or the reality or the world. Hell, one of the film's antagonists has more in common with Michael B. Jordan's Kilmonger than any other villain MCU, their goal being personal and understandable and relatable. And unlike Infinity War, Black Panther, Ragnarok and Guardians 2 this film does not dig into father issues. Well, Michael Douglas' Hank Pym is a bit of a donkey, but his daughter is not broke because of his flaws. So, yeah, Ant-Man and The Wasp is not as dark and does not go to places that other MCU movies have gone. The stakes are personal.
