Since the announcement of the upward compatibility of the Xbox One, players are asking for some very prominent games. Today, Microsoft has announced that Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII are now compatible with earlier versions. In addition, Civilization Revolution will receive an Xbox One X Enhanced update to take advantage of the world's most powerful console.
Backward compatibility opens the Xbox One to a wide variety of games, spanning three generations of Microsoft consoles. Despite the hardware differences, it remains an outstanding feature, allowing a library of older games to be played on Xbox One. Although the majority of them are Xbox 360 titles, some original Xbox games are also included. To date, players have benefited from more than one billion hours of retro-compatible games. The catalog now includes 500 Xbox 360 games, 25 enhanced Xbox 360 Xbox 360 titles, and 32 Xbox Clbadic titles.
