Firefighters continue to fight 21 forest fires in northeastern Ontario

According to authorities, firefighters have made progress in forest fires in northeastern Ontario, but there is still much work to be done.

Shayne McCool, Fire Chief, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry There were 52 active fires on Friday night, up from 70 on Monday.

He notes that 21 fires in progress are not yet under control.
