WASHINGTON – Former Fox News director Bill Shine officially joins the White House

President Donald Trump announces that Shine, former co-chair of the president's favorite television channel, will be his deputy to the chief of communications. The planned hiring had reported last week.

The White House says Shine "brings more than two decades of television programming, communications, and management experience to the role."

His hiring comes as Trump puts more and more his stamp on the West Wing, as helps with a more traditional experience leaving the administration. Friday marks the last day for Joe Hagin, the deputy veteran operations chief of staff

The arrival of Shine comes amidst Trump's frustration with his media coverage leading to an election to mid-term and in the 2020 campaign.

Shine has been spotted the White House since Monday.
