GENEVA – Didier Deschamps and Zinedine Zidane lead the 11 candidates in a likely French dominance of the best FIFA coach

Deschamps led France at the World Cup, and his teammate Zidane, winner of the World Cup in 1998, led Real Madrid to a third consecutive title in the Champions League

Later on Tuesday, FIFA publishes lists of candidates for the awards for the best male and female player.

Winners announced in London on September 24 are voted by national coaches and captains, as well as media outlets from the 211 FIFA member countries, and fans voting online.

Four women and six men are on a list of 10 candidates to win the FIFA Trophy as the best coach in women's football.
