Veteran MMA fighter Gerald Harris has a plan. It only remains for him to get paid.

Harris (25-7 MMA, 0-2 BMMA) hopes to fight against the barriers and leave the judges untouched by the result of his fight against Hracho Darpinyan (17-8-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at Bellator 210, which will take place Friday at the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma, and will be broadcast continuously on DAZN.

"To be able to earn more money and feed my family, I have to take more risks," Harris said. "So I have to fight differently. I can not kidnap people and Jon Fitch. Nobody wants to see that.

The times are tight for Harris since he's decided to come out of retirement. He tore the Achilles tendon two days before filming "The Ultimate Fighter 25" and missed the shot at a prize of $ 250,000 awarded to the winner. A sponsor has returned the medical bills of injury control to a third-party insurance company that has delayed repayment until the creditors appeal.

"So I went back to my normal life," said Harris.

High school teacher and comedy promoter, the 39-year-old Oklahoma native plans to return to school soon. It also has an MMA gym. Some final fights are supposed to generate money that he can invest in his future.

Of course, it's hard to make a good contribution when he only got half of his potential salary in two outings. In a recent interview with MMAjunkie, Harris said he did not have to complain about the Bellator's pay. But sitting on a couch at the Hunting Hall on Wednesday, he said he currently had 22 cents on his bank account.

For his 40th birthday, Harris promises to sell a 1,500-seat room for his third special show. He wants to bring Daniel Cormier as a special guest. the two-division UFC champion is a former student. Cormier will not take the microphone to tell jokes.

"He has the cage, I have the stage," Harris said.

But for the moment, he will take the old one. Win or lose, he will make a fight with Darpinyan. And he then went straight to the ATM. He has a plan for this money.

"This is the last piece of the puzzle," said Harris.
