Two girls aged 11 and 12 were planning to kill their clbadmates, dismember them and drink their blood to get closer to Satan, US police said.
The youths were found with knives at Bartow College in Florida on Tuesday and were arrested.
The Bartow Police Department said the couple were planning to wait in the school washrooms until the entrance of the smaller students.
Their goal was to slit their victims' throats, cut their bodies, eat flesh and drink their blood, authorities said.
They intended to end up stabbing themselves to death.
The warrant stated: "The plan was to kill at least one student but hoped to kill between 15 and 25 students.
"Killing all these students was in the hope that it would make them more perverse sinners by ensuring that after they had killed themselves … (they) would go in hell to be able to be with Satan. "
According to the inspectors, the girls staged the plot by watching horror films at one of their homes this weekend.
The girls' plan was unearthed when school administrators searched for them after they did not show up in clbad.
The police stated that the staff had found them in a washroom and that when they took them back to their office, they found four knives, a pizza cutter and a sharpener.
Additional police officers and guidance counselors were recruited from the school for the remainder of the week.
Nobody was injured, but the girls face charges of conspiracy to commit first degree murder and possession of a weapon at school, among other charges.
They were sent to a juvenile detention center.
Prosecutors will decide whether girls will be charged as adults or children.
The school said in a tweet: "The school staff quickly reacted to suspicious behavior, the students were detained and no one was injured."
