People who were at Carrefour Laval near Gate 2 on Thursday June 13th could have been exposed to measles.

The Quebec Ministry of Health warns the population of the potential exposure to measles in public places in Laval.
A person infected with measles who was contagious at the time was at Wal-Mart Ste-Dorothée and Carrefour Laval last Thursday. Anyone who was at Wal-Mart between 1:30 pm and 3:15 pm and Carrefour Laval near Gate 2 between 2:15 pm and 4:00 pm. could be at risk of exposure, said the ministry.
Infants under one year of age, people with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women who are not adequately vaccinated against measles are encouraged to consult a doctor to receive a dose of antibody before 20. June at 16h.
People who are not part of these groups, but who have visited these areas, are encouraged to monitor the symptoms of the disease, including high fever and rashes.
Measles is a serious and highly contagious disease that can be prevented by vaccines.
