Xiaomi revealed a list of smartphones that will benefit from the Android 9.0 Pie or Android Oreo update in the fourth quarter of this year. The list first spotted by GSMArena was published by the company on its forum "in Chinese language".
Xiaomi has released a list of devices that will receive the beta version of Android Oreo or Android Pie and the stable version in the fourth quarter of 2018. According to the list, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 Plus and Redmi 5X will receive Android Update of Oreo in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, devices that will receive an update based on Android Pie, including Mi 8 SE, Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition and the recently released Mi Mix 3.

Xiaomi on the forum mentioned that devices that have received two major updates or have been updated recently will not receive Android Pie. The list also mentions that the Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus Oreo update was suspended due to an unspecified software problem.
Although Xiaomi has revealed the list of smartphones running on MIUI China ROM eligible for the Android Pie or Android Oreo update, it has not yet been determined whether MIUI Global ROM users will get the software upgrade on their devices. .
The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer recently launched the Android 9 Pie update based on MIUI 10 for the Mi Mix 2S. The update brought camera enhancements, a "recents" remodeled menu, support for full-screen gestures, optimized system performance, accent color customizations, and more. In addition to Mi Mix 2S, the Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer and Mi Max 3 versions would also receive Android Update pie.
