Highway 17 reopens after a bush fire

Smoke from a bush fire created visibility problems along Highway 17 between Mattawa, Ontario, and Petawawa, Ontario. Friday.

Ontario Provincial Police closed the stretch of highway between Mattawa and Petawawa

According to a Twitter account of the OPP, there was a risk of fire on along the road, but gravity is unknown.

11 for eastbound traffic and Highway 60 for westbound traffic.

The road reopened Saturday morning.
