HTC's latest flagship phone is the U12 +. HTC launched the U12 + only recently. The company seems to have other projects for this year. HTC would work on a new smartphone – and affordable – called HTC U12 Life. The Life version of the HTC U12 will be a lighter version of the U12 +. But, unlike the U12 +, the HTC U12 Life will be cheaper.

The HTC U12 Life will borrow some specs from the U12 + suggests a new report that comes from the Android Authority. According to the new report, the new smartphone on which HTC works is called "Imagine Life". There is no direct mention of the name of the phone. But, since HTC U12 has been named "Imagine", the "Imagine Life" will be the U12 Life for sure. HTC, however, has not yet confirmed the existence of U12 life.

U12 life will take over from the U11 life that was launched only last year. Life U11 comes with an affordable price, and the same is expected from U12 life. As a reminder, the U11 Life was launched for $ 350, about Rs 24,000. The HTC U12 Life could be a bit expensive than the U11 Life, but will certainly be a midrange device.

As for the specifications, the HTC U12 Life should have a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2160p and aspect ratio of 18: 9. The smartphone is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expandable via a microSD card slot.

The HTC U12 Life will come with two cameras on the back panel and a single sensor on the front. On the back, the HTC U12 Life is supposed to include a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The report also suggests that U12 Life will be able to shoot 4K videos. On the front, the HTC phone should boast of a 13MP sensor coupled with a flash selfie.

The HTC phone will be backed by a 3.600mAh and will offer a long battery life – most lasts a whole day. The phone, just like other recently launched HTC phones, will be equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that will help unlock the phone with a finger.

As already mentioned, there is no official word on the HTC U12 Life of the company. But, now that the reports and specifications expected from the phone have started circulating on the Internet, we can expect the phone to become official very soon.

It is important to note that the HTC U12 Life will not come to India. This is because the company has decided to liquidate its smartphone business in India. Which means, there will be no new HTC phone coming to the Indian market, including the HTC U12 + and U12 Life.
