What is it? Now that Hyundai and Genesis are – wink wink – completely separate businesses, Hyundai needed a new flagship product. That's it: The Palisade, an eight-pbadenger SUV.
Why is it important? Well, Hyundai's marketing experts have stirred up so much of Los Angeles' flagship designation that you swore they would be presenting a boat rather than a three-row SUV. However, the Palisade is extremely well equipped with an electrically operated rear bench seat, a one-touch center row and an exceptionally spacious space.

The Palisade also has no less than seven USB ports, just in case you need your SUV as a mobile server. Oh, and by the way, it's powered by an Atkinson cycle version of Hyundai's 3.8-liter V6, paired with Hyundai's all-wheel drive HTRAC, which features a new 'Snow' mode.
When does it come? June 2019
Should you buy it? Well, do you need seven USB ports? How about 16 cupholders? So, Hyundai has a flagship SUV for you. Seriously, the Palisade is a practical utility utility of the South Korean automaker, rising up, endowed with a ton of hedonistic accommodations. I suppose it qualifies him as a lighthouse.
