iFixit destroys the iPhone XR [Video]

iFixit has released its demolition of the new iPhone XR.

This year, Apple brings top-level specifications to the iPhone XR so you can get all the fancy features you want cheaply. Have they compromised too much? Not enough? Since when is $ 750 cheap? There is only one way to find out: demolish it!

Strong points:
● A modular SIM card reader
● Haptics is driven by a well-known linear oscillation vibration motor
● battery 11.16 Wh
● Wireless copper charge coil compared to X FPC
● Rectangular battery, single layer logic board
● Load port more centered

Repairability Score: 6 out of 10
● The procedure of opening the screen first and easy access to the battery remain design priorities.
● A damaged screen can be replaced with minimal hardware removal and, with some care, you can preserve facial identity.
● Apple is using tiny Pentalobe screws again and at three unusual points to prevent repair, but these fixations are preferable to hard glue.
● Waterproofing measures complicate some repairs, but reduce the risk of difficult repairs.
● The front and rear window doubles the crackability. A broken rear window requires a complete replacement of the chbadis.
