Injured after Whitby house explosion

Durham Regional Police say a 48-year-old man has been following a whirlwind in Whitby on Wednesday afternoon.

Initially the police said it could have been caused by problems with a gas line, but it has been deemed suspicious.

Three people were injured following the blast, which occurred on Cedar Street in the Garden Street area and Dundas Street East.

The house was blown out, which was blown out.

Three males were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One of the males remains in hospital and two have been released.
