BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Juiia Roberts was laughing at the non-existent distinction between making movies and television, and critics were entertained by a glimpse of the upcoming season 2 of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" as Amazon Prime Video presented panels for its upcoming series Saturday at the Television Critics Association 2018 summer press tour.
Jennifer Salke, the new director of Amazon Studios, was joined by her colleagues from 39; Amazon TV, Albert Cheng and Vernon Sanders Prime Video Deals, including the goal of improving the user interface (ie, "I am on Amazon, but I can not find the original pages from the Amazon TV series. ")
Salke, who was previously president of NBC Entertainment, spoke of the ramping up of Amazon's original content, citing examples such as" The Expatriates ", a drama series of Blossom Films Nicole Kidman; "Them", a horror series of Lena Waithe ("The Chi"); "Upload", a science-fiction comedy by Greg Daniels ("The Office"); an original series based on "The Lord of the Rings", from the writer JD Payne and Patrick McKay ("Star Trek 4"); and a "revolutionary global television franchise" by Russo Brothers ("Avengers: Infinity War").
We also saw a trailer of "The Romanoffs", the anthology series of the creator of "Mad Men" Matthew Weiner. its first date (October 12) and the humorous cast, which includes Christina Hendricks, Mad Men veteran, Noah Wyle, Catherine Kerry, Corey Stoll, Ron Livingston and Paul Reiser.
"The Romanoffs" was originally announced with a little fanfare, but was a bit on the radar as a result of Weiner being accused of badual harbadment by "Mad Men" writer Kater Gordon.
announces that "Sneaky Pete" has been renewed for a third season, and that the fifth and final season of "Transparent" is underway, a series that has been an award-winning success until allegations of badual harbadment against star Jeffrey Tambor. Tambor denied the charges, but he was fired from the show.

Daniel Palladino, Executive Producer, and Brosnahan, Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle and Kevin Pollak were also there.
