Kelowna celebrates its 70th annual Across the Lake Swim – Okanagan

This is the longest and longest open water swimming in Canada, and this has been happening in Okanagan for 70 years.

The internal saving test across the lake took place on Saturday morning

The race starts at 39. former ferry wharf at West Kelowna and ends at Hot Sands Beach in Kelowna

and more of an endurance challenge than a competition.

Thirteen hundred and fifty swimmers participated this year, including former Vancouver Canuck player and current president of hockey operations, Trevor Linden.
