KISS has finally announced the first batch of dates for its Farewell End of the Road tour.
A Bay Area date.
Could it be that KISS's masked men – Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and, uh, whatever the other guys in the group – might actually skip the contingent from the KISS Army Bay Area?
It would be sad for locals who want to meet again at "Detroit Rock City".
There is however a date at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on February 9th. Local KISS fans may want to check. Tickets will go on sale at 10 am on November 2nd, www.livenation.com.
There are also many other dates on the west coast (as well as in towns located close to an airplane flight). Fans can see KISS on January 31st in Vancouver, BC (opening tour); February 1 in Portland; February 2 in Tacoma, Washington; February 4 in Spokane, Washington; February 7 in San Diego; February 8 in Fresno; February 12 in Anaheim; February 13 in Glendale, Arizona; February 15 in Las Vegas; February 16 in Los Angeles.
Yes, the one in Las Vegas seems to be the best bet for us too.
It's a shame that the Bay Area has not had an appointment. But it is certainly not a first that Sacramento gets a major show, unlike the Bay Area. From time to time, a large tour group decides to play a single date in Northern California and ends in Sacramento. And the city is undoubtedly a more appealing gaming venue than ever with the addition of the ultra-modern Golden 1 center in the city center.
And although the Bay Area has not announced the first releases of this first round of tours, it is still possible that KISS will return to the west coast at a later date and play a local date.
After all, this is supposed to be a goodbye tour of many years. In other words, who wants to see KISS play at the Chase Center in San Francisco in 2032? We will use our teleportation devices to get there!
And, of course, there will be a lot of doubts about the sincerity of this farewell tour. And for a good reason. Many still remember the group's first farewell tour, which began in 2000 and lasted until 2001 and that brought in a lot of money. This farewell lasted for about a minute before the group started planning their return.
But this history lesson will not stop fans from participating in this tour, which will celebrate nearly half a century of KISS.
"All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people around the world who filled the stadiums, stadiums and clubs during these years. years. This will be the ultimate celebration for those who have seen us and a last chance for those who have not yet done so. KISS Army, we say goodbye to our last tour with our biggest show so far and we're going out the same way we came in … tasteless and unstoppable, "KISS said in a statement.
