When you've produced a stripped-down, hardcore, track-driven version of an existing supercar, there's only one thing to do next, C & D Is exactly what Lamborghini has just done with its new SVJ version of the Aventador.

Now, it must be said that there are probably as many Nurburgring lap records. As there are world heavyweight boxing titles, this does not mean that the Aventador SVJ is the fastest car to go around the Ring, but there is still something to be proud of. Aventador SVJ is the party "

Lamborghini recovered this particular record after the Huracan Performante was usurped last year by the Nio EP9. There is no doubt that Nio will now try to recover the record, but for the moment at least, Lamborghini has the crown. But although the production car's lap record is impressive since it now stands at 6: 44.97 minutes, it's still very far from the lap record.

Only a few weeks ago Porsche set a new benchmark with its incredibly fast 919 Hybrid Evo. This model is an unrestricted version of its prototype Le Mans race car, and the allotted time is almost a minute and a half faster than the Aventador SVJ at an astonishing 5: 19.546.
To achieve the speeds and performance needed to set the production car record, Lamborghini performed a complete aerodynamic overhaul of the Aventador to arrive at the SVJ. Compared to the standard car, the SVJ features a deeper front fender, wider side skirts, single-sport-type center-wheel nuts and the ALA 2.0 active aerodynamic system from Lamborghini.

The Aventador's gaping air intakes also seem to have increased in size on the Super Veloce Jota version, which gives even more air to the awesome V-12 engine of 6.5 liters that raises the power of 730 hp of the Aventador SV to about 760 hp. the maximum of 9,000rpm. And we know that it is turning out at this level, as can be seen in the video published by Lamborghini to celebrate the new record.
