LeBron James Nearly records a double double and gets his first win with the Lakers

LeBron James recorded his first win as a Los Angeles Lakers member Wednesday night in Phoenix, while the 33-year-old led purple and gold to a 131-113 victory over the Suns .

James, who nearly scored a triple-double despite a full fourth quarter session, finished with 19 points, 10 badists and 7 rebounds in 28 minutes.

With the win, the Lakers improved to 1-3 for the 2018-19 season.

In addition to James, the Lakers' center, JaVale McGee, made a remarkable performance and scored 20 points on 8-13 shots, including one to three pointers. In better shape, McGee recorded four blocks in 26 minutes on the field.

The five Lakers runners finished with double-digit numbers, and the 10 Lakers who went to court registered at least one pbad to showcase Luke Walton's balanced representation in Arizona.

On the bench, Lance Stephenson continued her good start to the season with 23 points, a team-high, eight rebounds and eight badists in 25 minutes. The former Indiana Pacer made 10 of his 14 field placement attempts at night.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who was transferred to the substitutes' bench to give Josh Hart a starting point, was the only Lakers reserve to score at double digits at night.

For the Suns, Devin Booker led the way with 23 points, seven badists and seven rebounds. Rookie Deandre Ayton added 22 points and 11 rebounds to the loss.

The Lakers then host the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center on Thursday night.

Notes: Brandon Ingram and Rajon Rondo remain suspended. Rondo will miss Thursday's match, while Ingram will not compete in the next two games.
