A 17-year-old game developer has created a complete PC remake of the legendary PS4 horror game P.T. which makes us ashamed. After all, most of us have wasted our youth drinking sneaky tinnies in the parks and figuring out how the kiss works. Who knew that teenagers could be so productive?
The young developer, who uses the user name Reddit Qimsar, says that it took about 140 hours of work to remake PT for PC, and that the process had them forced to "learn to do a ton of things". They also wondered if their young age was adding to their "credibility of the street", which is absolutely the case.
PT Mysteriously appeared as a free download on the PlayStation Network Store in August 2014 and soon acquired a reputation for being ridiculously, scary pants -wettingly.
The end of the game revealed that he had been a "playable teaser" for Silent Hills a potential new restart of the clbadic survival horror game Silent Hill . The project was directed by the creator of Metal Gear Solid Hideo Kojima and the filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, with Norman Reedus the star of Walking Dead who starred
good for to be true, and in the end it was. Kojima bitterly separated with Editor of Metal Gear Konami in 2015 after completing Metal Gear Solid V and Silent Hills was canceled.
Konami even went so far as to withdraw P.T. from the PSN store, which means that there are many players who have never had the chance to play. Readable copies of P.T. were once so wanted that you could even find some PS4 with the game installed available for sale on eBay.
Although Silent Hills was canceled, P.T. had a great influence on the gaming industry. Resident Evil 7 took a lot of inspiration from the game, adopting his point of view in the first person, and Kojima, del Toro and Reedus are working together again on the upcoming PS4 game Death Stranding .
Fans have tried to recreate PT in the past, and there was even a version of Minecraft . But Qimsar's project seems to be the first complete and fully realized remake of the game.
As with any other fan-run project that uses the intellectual property of a company, Qimsar could potentially receive a notice of withdrawal. They have already thought about this, and offered to "personally download the game to anyone who wants it" if the game is forced on the Internet. Well, here it is
