Liverpool should be without Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita when they face Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday.
The midfielder duo has been absent since mid-October due to hamstring problems and his manager, Jurgen Klopp, is keen not to reverse the situation.
Club captain Henderson has not played since retiring at halftime against Huddersfield on Oct. 20, missing out on Red Star and Cardiff, as well as yesterday's draw with Arsenal.
Klopp said: "Hendo is feeling really good but it will probably be the beginning of the week when he will be back to training.
"Naby [will be the] end of this week. It does not make a big difference in terms of match, but that's how it goes. "
Klopp's comments suggest that he does not expect the duo to be available for the trip to Serbia, but hopes that they will be able to cope with Fulham next weekend. .
"In football, a not too bad injury takes another two, three or four weeks," he said.
"You're lucky if you only have this injury, but that only means in the Premier League. [you will miss] 20 games!
"They are completely at the hour, if you want. It's as if we expected it.
"We did not need to hurry. In fact, we could not, but there was no reason to try it.
"If the next match would take place next Friday, the two would probably be in shape, but the next match will be on Saturday and the other Tuesday, so that might be a fair bit."
With Henderson and Keita probably out, Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho and James Milner are the most likely to continue in a midfielder three.
Xherdan Shaqiri debuted wide in the 4-0 win against Antarctica at Anfield, while Klopp had only deployed two central midfielders, but Liverpool's boss could be more conservative in the game. ;outside.
Meanwhile, Dejan Lovren hopes to deserve a reminder in the middle, although Joe Gomez has once again impressed alongside Virgil van Dijk at Emirates.
Trent Alexander-Arnold could be the man to miss if Lovren returns, although the 20-year-old offers a more offensive option than Gomez at the right back.
The Reds are currently leading their group in the Champions League, but have only one point ahead of Napoli and two on Paris Saint-Germain with three games to play.
