Space Exploration Technologies Corp. launched a satellite for the Telstar customer early Sunday, marking the 13th year launch for the closed company run by Elon Musk.

The satellite was deployed about 32 minutes after takeoff and the first stage of the rocket then landed on the droneship "Of course, I still love you" in the Atlantic Ocean, the company said on its website. The Telstar 19 VANTAGE satellite will maintain a geosynchronous orbit and enter commercial operation once its in-orbit tests are complete. Once approved, Telstar 19 VANTAGE will be used for a variety of communication purposes in northern Canada, the North Atlantic, the Caribbean and South America.
