The Sûreté du Québec, with the help of its tactical unit, arrested a 52-year-old man following the death of a woman. Her body was recovered from a fire that engulfed the restaurant where she worked.
Chloé Bellehumeur-Lemay was found inside the 239 bar-restaurant of Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon by firefighters on Sunday early in the morning.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly thereafter. The police determined that his death was a homicide because of signs of violence on his body.
They believe that the restaurant's fire was deliberately intended to hide the true cause of his death

The arrest occurred around 5 am in the man's home in Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon.
Major Crime Unit of the Quebec Provincial Police are working to determine what happened, as well as the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
Sg Sgt. Marc Tessier could not say why the tactical unit had been retained for the arrest, but said: "According to the suspect, if we have information, we sometimes use this unit."
