Man charged with first degree murder after the death of a woman from Alberta – Edmonton

A homicide is being investigated over the death of a woman after her body was found in a house near Galahad, Alberta on Friday.

The Killam RCMP found the body of this 25-year-old man around 2 am

Police said that a man had been arrested without incident.

Brett Thomas Fenton, 29, of Galahad, has been charged with first degree murder and is scheduled to appear in Camrose Provincial Court on November 7th.

The investigators stated that they were not looking for other suspects and that there was no risk to the public.

The Major Crime Unit and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section are investigating the death of this woman with the badistance of the RCMP Detachment in Killam.

An autopsy to determine the woman's mode of death will be held on November 6 in Edmonton.
