Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola again played in Manchester's first derby of the season.
Manchester City and Manchester United both had a remarkable European success in the middle of the week. The former beat Shakhtar Donetsk 6-0, while the latter came from behind to beat Juventus 2-1 in Turin. However, the history of the league is very different, the leaders of Manchester City having nine points and six places over their rivals.
While Jose Mourinho wanted to minimize the hopes of playing the title, his team will have to emerge victorious from the derby if they still hope to be able to close the gap. Paul Pogba is sweating because of his training injury on Friday, which casts doubt on his participation in the match. Follow the live action below.
News from the team
So, as the rumor goes, there is no Paul Pogba for Manchester United, the midfielder was injured. Even if Romelu Lukaku is in shape again, he is only on the substitutes' bench. Marcus Rashford is reinstated in training instead of Alexis Sanchez and Marouane Fellaini start.
For City, Guardiola's great appeal is that Riyad Mahrez beat Leroy Sane, but it's different as Sergio Aguero returns to the start despite Gabriel Jesus' hat trick in the middle of the week.

A constant threat going from the front right. Juventus was really in disarray when De Sciglio was retired.

A magnificent pbad to set up Ronaldo. Solid defensively.

5/22 Alex Sandro: 6 out of 10
Not his most important performance. Some brilliant moments as an attacker. The own goal will remain as his, even if the ball went anyway.

6/22 Juan Cuadrado: 5 out of 10
Cuadrado was perhaps the quietest player in Juventus watching the game as a whole, and he will miss his 1-0 chance.

Worker and diligent left of the midfield three. Wasted an excellent opportunity.

9/22 Rodrigo Betancur: 7 out of 10
Very accomplished show in the midfield. Many interventions strong and showed his range of pbades. An emerging force.

10/22 Paulo Dybala: 6 out of 10
Flashes of his considerable brilliance (his curling-diving shot that hit the crossbar as a notable) but not as punchy as his team needed him.

11/22 Cristiano Ronaldo: 7 out of 10
A moment of magnificence that, for a time, seemed to have decided the match. The flush was simply sublime. Luke Shaw sometimes tormented with his sophisticated footwork, but otherwise drifts in and out of the game, as is usual.

12/22 David De Gea: 7 out of 10
Two excellent De Gea stops, one against a deflected center and the other against a curler at the edge of the box shortly after the hosts' goal. He could not do anything about Ronaldo's goal.

Most of Juventus' most brilliant moments followed his chain, although Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba sometimes left Shaw a bit isolated.

Pogba was pretty tough in the first half and did not get much better on the second leg in Turin, but he appeared late to help force the winner. He also won the free kick for the first match.

22/22 Anthony Martial: 7 out of 10
Played from the left with Sanchez deployed in the middle. Worked relatively hard in defense and was compounded in possession. Martial was a key catalyst in the comeback, bringing the game to the Italians. Her ability to dribble worried tired, aging legs, and a push forward led to first base.

Gabriel Jesus: The Brazilian has scored more for Manchester City since September 25 before his hat trick against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday night. While the strange fine striking Raheem Sterling was in the spotlight, the 21-year-old's contribution has been outstanding in all areas, as City has recorded its biggest win in the Champions League. At the beginning of his career, Jesus could be on the bench Sunday given the recent form of Sergio Aguero, but he once again demonstrated his talent that could make all the difference in the derby.
