March robot prototype begins testing … thousands of kilometers from mission control

This is the function of ExoFit Charlie. Under the distant orders of Harwell, the British-built rover made his first tests on a simulated Martian surface. These included leaving the landing ramp, identifying a remote geological outcrop, approaching it and taking a sample with its drill.
