Meghan Markle's fashion choices reveal an uncomfortable truth

With the exception of the "Oscar" dress of the Oscar de la Renta dress that she wore at her cousin's wedding, Markle avoided anything that was flowery or floating – all, really, with flair, in favor of the type of dress you wear know that you must call Skype at 9 pm Eastern Standard Time.

Many fashion critics have pointed out the fact that, as it is now a royal, there must be any dull conservatvism and flesh-colored tights from now on. But critics might be forgetting the risks taken by his late mother-in-law, Diana, who did not think about wrapping oversized taffeta skirts, lilac dresses at one shoulder, or pale blue satin-filled belts and of tiaras.

Even Kate Middleton, known for her love of recycling dresses, has been known to unravel a bit of floral and lace.

But the new Duchess of Susbad favors the uniform of corporate environments: olive, navy, black, staggered belts, business-style buttons, wraparound dresses and absolutely no motive to speak of. Even at Wimbledon, a place known for her flair of spectator, she chose the stripes.

A superficial evaluation of her clothing choices seems to suggest that she does not want to "overshadow" anyone, or worse, that she just does not know how to really, well … dress up. There are Conservatives, and then there is complacency. And then, there are occasional affairs, which is exactly what we seem to get from the Duchess

AAP [19659005] Well, she was Suits for seven years, a television series in a law firm. But Markle's character, Rachel Zane, wore sets rather than dresses, and, since it was commercial television, the wide range of skirts and blouses worn by Markle dressed him up as a combination Diving.

Lauren, Caroline Herrera, Brandon Jason Wu Maxwell – reveals another model: they all dressed Michelle Obama, too. And that makes sense, because Meghan Markle has always had a public service job in her views, even when she was a full-time actress.

It could then be that Markle made the decision, in order to prevent the kind of cognitive dissonance felt by any feminist baduming the role of a princess: you tell yourself that you are rather a First Lady. But even Michelle Obama knew when to burst the glitter.

Further cement office theory: Meghan Markle remains as resolutely engaged in this messy bread (worn by younger employees around the world), as she is towards Prince Harry.

No, Markle is making a statement with each wrap dress and each pump naked, whether she is aware of it or not. She means business …

And that's the uncomfortable fact of the royal life. It does not matter if you are considered a "style icon", no matter whether you have been riding a carriage in a country town, like a sort of contemporary Cinderella. The public pays you to shed light on the forgotten causes, to represent the best of your country and to play the diplomat to any foreign dignitary not yet conquered.

Meghan tells us what so many TV stars said before her "I did not come to play."

She came to work.
