Evacuation warnings remain in place as a precautionary measure for the 933 homes in the Wilden area

Conditions in the area remain dry and hot, and there is a high to extreme fire hazard rating in the area.

All residents of Wilden Ward are now on alert following the Glenmore Forest Fire burning over Yates Road.
The Precautionary Alert touches 933 properties that access the Wilden neighborhood from Rio Drive, Upper Canyon Drive, and Union Road. Residents It is advisable to be ready to evacuate if necessary.
For safety reasons, emergency personnel request the following:
Avoid Yates Road area responders can effectively perform their duties, please alternate routes for your trip.

It's hard enough But if you're homeless , smoke from fires and the blazing sun can be relentless.
With temperatures in the mid-30s and smoke trailing in the air. Kelowna Gospel Mission is now open from 7am to 6pm every day so guests can escape the heat.
The shelter saw a large number of people experience difficulty breathing, with headaches and sore eyes. Others are dehydrated or have severe sunburns.
"This can be dangerous for your health," says Executive Director Randy Benson.
"We are able to offer a cool and comfortable place during the day, a cold drink and a meal. We provide baseball caps and sunscreen to people who need it. We are grateful to Vital Waters, which has been keeping its big water cans for years, and to the many people who donate so that our shelter continues to function. Our guests are grateful that so many people care about them.
In addition to serving three meals a day, the mission also provides a 90-bed shelter, showers, laundry services, haircuts and a women's transition house.

The Kelowna RCMP told Castanet that they have three young people in custody after a suspicious fire was triggered at the Rutland Community Center early this morning.
Const. According to Lesley Smith, "At 01:34, the Kelowna RCMP and the Kelowna Fire Department were summoned to a structural fire at Rutland Community Center at 765 Dodd Rd."
Mr. Smith says patrolmen and many witnesses heard an explosion. The direction of Dodd Road and then saw flames at the back of the community center.
Fast-acting agents quickly surrounded the area and collected witnesses. It quickly became clear that five or six youths were seen fleeing after the coup. Shortly after, flames could be seen rising from the back of the building and into the roof.
Thanks to the quick reaction of firefighters and the police, the fire was extinguished before the fire could infiltrate.
"Police were able to view CCTV footage at the scene, which helped in the police investigation and identification of the suspects involved," says Smith
Police have three youths people in custody.

The Kelowna fire team is again busy overnight, in response to a fire that just broke out before 11 pm on the 700 block of Dodd Road.
Teams arrived to find the back of the Kelowna Seniors Activity Center on fire. Scott Clarke, captain of the Kelowna Fire Squad, tells Castanet: "The teams attacked the fire from outside and from inside the building and were able to limit the range of fire to Outside the building.
Fortunately, there was no one in the building at the time of the fire
Four engines, a ladder truck, a safety officer and a 20-fire brigade command unit responded to the fire
The RCMP and the Kelowna Fire Department investigate the cause of the fire
The fourth edition of Arts on the Avenue closed Kelowna's main street between Water Street and Ellis Street. The arts community has the opportunity to showcase its works to local people and tourists.
Renata Mills, Executive Director of the host organization Festivals Kelowna, has been organizing events in the city for 20 years.
"Every night, I see more and more people coming to downtown, which is really cool, the whole downtown has moved," said Mills
