A man from Ottawa who stabbed his two sisters to death in December 2016 was found not criminally responsible.
Musab A-Noor was charged with a charge of first degree murder and second degree murder after his sisters, Nasiba and Asma A-Noor, were found dead at their home in McCarthy. Road, December 16, 2016.
He has been in psychiatric care since his arrest and has been declared unfit for trial several times.
His lawyer Samir Adam confirmed the findings on Monday, ending the criminal case against him.
A-Noor will remain in psychiatric care.
Adam stated that the decision to designate A-Noor as not criminally responsible was a joint recommendation of the Crown and the defense. A-Noor was hallucinating at the time of the murders.
