Nawaz's lawyer requests the exclusion of the presiding judge from other references

The dispossessed Prime Minister's Council, Nawaz Sharif, on Monday demanded that the presiding judge be excluded from the hearing of the other two motions against members of the Sharif family [19659004] of the reference Al-Azizia. Khawaja Haris presented the medical report of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and requested a five-day exemption from the hearing, but the court granted a three-day exemption. The next hearing is scheduled for July 12th.

"You have already given a verdict on the Avenfield reference," Haris told Judge Bashir. "I ask you to exclude yourself from the bench Al-Azizia audience and Flagship references.You should write a letter to the Supreme Court in this regard.We wanted to have a single verdict for all three cases."

Bashir agreed to consult the High Court of Islamabad (IHC) and the Supreme Court and stated that the deadline for the announcement of the three references was coming to an end. The prosecution stated that they had no reservations against dismissal of the judge, provided that the court continues hearings for the other two removals.

The Supreme Court had previously set 9 July as the deadline for announcing the verdicts of Flagship and Al-Azizia

Warrants of arrest issued for convicts of Avenfield [19659004] However, the court could only conclude the Avenfield decision within the prescribed time. As a result, the liability court will require more time to finalize the Flagship and Al-Azizia references. The court granted ten years of imprisonment to Nawaz, seven to Maryam and one to the Capt (retd) Safdar with heavy fines.
