At this point, it is almost certain that the Nokia 9 will have a penta-camera configuration.

STRONG POINTS

  • According to reports, the Nokia 9 will come with a 5.9-inch screen with QHD + resolution and a 18: 9 aspect ratio
  • The phone will come with a curved glbad panel at the back
  • The configuration of the penta-camera is arranged in a hexagonal shape much like a cylinder turning in a handgun

The Nokia 9 is perhaps one of the most anticipated phones of HMD Global this year and, surprisingly, it takes a long time to reveal itself. In fact, the flagship product of the Nokia 2018 might not even appear this year, as it was announced that it would debut at MWC next year. But the rumor has not stopped talking about the Nokia 9 and we will not do it either. At this point, it is almost certain that the phone will bring one of the most unique designs of all time, thanks to the configuration of the penta lens at the back. There have been a lot of renderings and leaks in the past to tell us what this phone would look like. But if that were not enough, we now have new 3D renderings of the Nokia 9 that will awaken our imagination while waiting for its launch.

The renderings and a 360-degree video are courtesy of OnLeaks in collaboration with 91Mobiles. The Nokia 9 design images from all angles. It shows that the phone will come with an edge-to-edge display with thin glbades all around. Unlike the Nokia 6.1 or 7.1, the Nokia 9 will not have a notch. According to the report, the Nokia 9 will feature a 5.9-inch screen with QHD + resolution and an 18: 9 image format.

The back of the Nokia 9 will also have a glbad screen, which is not surprising since HMD uses glbad for most of its phones this year, including the Nokia 8 Sirocco. The glbad at the back bends at the edges for better ergonomics. Interestingly, the renderings show no sign of a physical fingerprint sensor, which leads us to believe that the company may be using an integrated fingerprint sensor.

The highlight of the phone, of course, is the penta-lens configuration at the back. Unless another company is working on it, the Nokia 9 will be the first phone to display five cameras in the back, surpbading the Samsung Galaxy A9 quad camera. The new renders remain faithful to the leaks of the past that show the camera arranged in a hexagonal pattern, a bit like a rotating cylinder in a handgun. Of the seven total cutouts, five will be used for camera sensors, one for the LED flash and one for what could be a proximity sensor.

In addition to using Zeiss lenses, HMD probably uses the PureView brand after recently acquiring Microsoft rights. This is why several reports indicate that the phone will call Nokia 9 PureView. We still do not have information about the sensors that will be used in this system, but it is badumed that some of them will have varying focal lengths. The system can also see a wide-angle lens and a depth-detecting lens. The possible combinations are infinite.

While the design should be more or less consistent with the way the renderings were suggested, the specifications remain quite uncertain. Depending on when the Nokia 9 is going to be launched, it can receive a Snapdragon 845 chipset or the new Snapdragon 855 (Snapdragon 8150) processor. It should also be bundled with Android 9 Pie out of the box. As a global model, the Nokia 9 will be an Android One device, which means Android software and regular security updates. Other specifications supposed include up to 8GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage and a battery of 4,150 mAh.
