CALGARY – Nik Lewis Retired as Calgary Stamper
Calgary President and CEO John Hufnagel announced Friday that the international had signed a one-day contract with the club.
World leader in the 1,051 Canadian Football League receptions, Lewis played 11 seasons with the Stampeders (2004-14) before concluding his three-season career with the Montreal Alouettes. He has accumulated 13,778 receiving yards and 71 touchdowns in his 14 seasons in the CFL.
Lewis holds the Stampeders record with 165 consecutive games played with at least one shot and has reached the 1,000 yard mark in each of his first nine seasons. He has been a member of the CFL 's star team three times as a Stampeders member and five – time West Division star.
