According to Darren Dreger, an insider of TSN Hockey, Nylander did not attack the rink with the Austrian Dornbirn Bulldogs to train on Tuesday. He skated for about two hours Monday with a substitute goalkeeper while the team was on leave. He joined the team three times last week.

Negotiations between the Maple Leafs and the 22-year-old striker appear to have ended. Nylander met with Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas in Switzerland last Wednesday. Dubas was seen talking to winger agent Lewis Gross during the Rangers game Sunday night. He missed the first nine games of the team so far.
Bulldogs head coach Dave MacQueen told First Up on TSN Radio 1050 Toronto on Monday that he did not know if Nylander would join his team on Tuesday, see the Swede again.
"Honestly, when he jumped into the exercises, he looked like he was having fun," MacQueen said of Nylander's first skates with the team.
