The 1,900-hectare fire of the Snowy Mountains in the snow-covered protected area, about 14 km south of Keremeos, caused the evacuation alert of four properties

The center Regional Emergency Operations Branch of the Okanagan-Similkameen Regional District said the alert concerns four properties located near Cawston in electoral area "B" and adjacent to the Lower Similkameen Indian Band.
