Sarah Palin says that she was "tricked".
The former Republican vice-presidential candidate said she was a victim of British actor Sacha Baron Cohen during an interview for her upcoming showtime show, "Who's America?"
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the former governor of Alaska wrote that she and a girl traveled across the country for what she thought was a legitimate interview . But she says that Baron Cohen was "heavily disguised" as a disabled American veteran in a wheelchair.
Palin says that she spent what she called a long interview full of "disrespect and sarcasm of Hollywoodism" before leaving. She is challenging Baron Cohen and Showtime to donate the recipe for the show to a veterans charity.
Showtime has no comments. An e-mail requesting a comment from Baron Cohen has not been returned.
The show will be broadcast Sunday.
