Paula Faris announces her departure from the hospitality functions on The View and the GMA Weekend Edition

Paula Faris takes her career in a new direction.

The 42-year-old TV personality has announced his departure from the Weekend Edition of The View and Good Morning America.

"Excited / grateful for the opportunity to cover great stories and talk to people at their center," Faris tweeted on Wednesday. Thanks to the gracious teams of @GMA Sat./Sun. and @TheView. Not far, but I will miss you.

Paula was a staple on The View for three seasons.

Faris sat alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure and Raven-Symone, to name a few.

She also served as a GMA weekend co-anchor for the last four years.

Fall, Faris will continue to work for ABC News as a copywriter. new faith-based podcast.

As a public figure, Paula used her platform to speak openly about her religious beliefs.

"People know that there is something different about me," she told CBN News. "I think most people know that I am a Christian.I have had great opportunities to share the love of Christ with people."

Faris has three children – Landon, JJ and Caroline – whom she shares with her husband John Krueger.
